US film festival to screen 4 Iranian short films

Cinequest Film and VR Festival in the US is to screen 4 Iranian short films.

Cinequest Film and VR Festival in the US has scheduled to send four Iranian short films on screen.

‘Avo’ directed by Golnaz Jamshid will enjoy three screening sessions in short film section on March 7, 10 and 11.

It tells the story of an Iranian Armenian boy who experiences the notion of death when his grandfather dies. Being neglected by the grownups that surround him at the funeral, he finds a way to stay in touch with his grandfather from beyond the grave.

‘Limbo’ directed by Ghasideh Golmakani will enjoy four screening sessions in short film section on March 1, 2, 5, and 7.

It is about a former Iraqi sniper who took refuge in Iran and started tattooing the names of all the soldiers he had killed. The last name is tattooed by a young Iranian guy who is asked by the sniper to help him with a strange favor.

‘The Man and the Child’ directed by Mohammadreza Kheradmandan, a unique encounter with a teenager who has some improper habits, will be screened on March 1, 3, 8, and 12.

Directed by Farnoush Abedi, ‘The Servant’ will enjoy four screening sessions in animation section on March 2, 4, 8, and 12.

The animation tells the story of a giant cockroach who gets tired of his servitude to man.

The event will also screen Soroush Mohammadzadeh’s feature film ‘Wednesday’ during four screening sessions on March 1, 2, 8 and 10.
